A Much Needed Pick Me Up

It's one of those days around here, you know when you fill like you're getting nothing done, but the wheels are spinning like crazy. I'm sure you've all had one of those, if not several days like that before.

The question is How to Get yourself out of that funk and keep rolling?

Well all it took for me was a return email from a client that I hadn't heard from in a while and BAM, back on track...

Much Needed Pick Me Up

It's amazing what "The little Things Can Do"

Now I think Donna exaggerated a bit, I mean a ton...

But Donna, thanks so much for making my day.

Main Website Updated for '09

Just wanted to send out a quick post letting everyone know that our main site FJ GAYLOR Photography has been updated with new images from the fall 2008 semester.

It's always a chore redoing the website. After shooting what seems like a zillion images over a 12 or 13 week whirlwind, narrowing down our favorites is really tough. Also letting go of the older images is quite difficult. That's what Flickr's for right?

Things are shaping up nicely for '09 so hopefully we'll have the same problem come July.

So if you're into "real student life images", head on over to FJGAYLOR.com and let us know what you think.

Decisions, Decisions

It's that time of year again, time to add fresh images to the main website, www.fjgaylor.com .. It is quite a chore to go through several thousand images and pick the ones that are worthy of going on the website.

After picking out several hundred images that we like, there is another round of editing and tagging into categories. Some of the categories are buildings, details, inside campus life, outside campus life, dorms, athletics, faculty, classroom, Faculty-Student Interaction, and more.

Then there's the process of getting rid of most of the images that are currently on the site. This is extremely painful, as most are really only about 6-7 months old...

It's strange the amount of athletcis images in the fall as opposed to the spring. We seem to have a bunch of football images this fall.

There are six images above that I have to whittle down to one to put on the website.

Would appreciate everyone's thoughts, don't hold back, I've got pretty thick skin.
