Here's a bunch from a FUN shoot in Manhattan for St. John's University.
I have to tell this was an extremely fun shoot for us, we had a great time runnin' all over the city from The Met, Central Park, Up and Down Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, etc., etc..
The only problem with yesterday was that there weren't enough kids, we had the SAME five kids with us all day. It was definitely different from the way we're used to shooting, it was setup to an extent. (summer, not on campus) We just dropped them out on Fifth Avenue and let them go..
After about ten miles of walking my feet were KILLING me. It was extremely fast paced, as you can see from the images, we used the wide angle and fisheye most of the day...
Here's two links FJ GAYLOR Manhattan and one that may or may not work on all browsers, our Mobile Me Gallery

FJ GAYLOR Photography Launches New Website

After a few weeks of going through way TOO many photos, and a couple of boneheaded design moves (forgetting that 40% or more still use 1024x768 or less) we have launched a new site with fresh images from the Spring Semester.
If you get a chance head on over to www.fjgaylor.com and let us know what you think.

A Roller Coaster Ride!! Will it End?

It continues, the emotions, highs and lows like a ride at Six Flags... This is crazy.. People think we're absolutely out of our minds, and I have to agree..
Brad and I have been at it for over thirteen hours waiting for the 3g iPhone launch.. I was fortunate enough to get in and out all activated with a new phone in 8 minutes, Brad is still trying to get things sorted out, we have tried everything imaginable. No Dice, Yet anyways
It has been a ride for sure.. Not gonna lie to you all, it is pretty sweet getting VIP treatment at the Apple Store, that pretty much never happens...
Head on over to 26 Days Without to see a blow by blow of the last 13 hours, if you've got nothing better to do..

Is This a Missed Opportunity for Higher Ed?
A few weeks ago I wrote a post about Dorm Room Photos and since then the traffic to the blog has seen a steady increase in keyword activity surrounded by the search term "dorm"
I have seen this in the past, as there are trickles of visitors throughout the year coming from "dorm" but nothing like the traffic during the summer, year over year..
It brings me back to a couple conversations I had with students last fall while shooting their rooms. They were both from incoming Freshman. "I think we saw your blog when looking for specs on how to set up our dorm rooms, sizes, setups, etc..."
Very interesting, are Schools missing out on this opportunity? Why are all these students landing on my page and not the schools' site? I'm sure it has something to do with effective keywording... Everyone should head to Kyle James' site for some indepth SEO education to get you started...
Just something to chew on..
Now off to the airport to meet up with Brad for tomorrow's iPhone launch!!!

Product Placement - Gonna Have To Switch My Style

As I mentioned in last week's post, We're in the middle of going through what seems like a zillion images for our new site to be rolled out next week.
Here's what I came across in the last half hour. I just want to go on the record saying that FJ GAYLOR Photography is in no way affiliated with either Nabisco or Frito Lay!!! LOL!
I think it's time to rethink my shooting style (ha,ha)...
Thought some of you would get a kick out of this!!!!
