FJ GAYLOR Photography Launches New Website

After a few weeks of going through way TOO many photos, and a couple of boneheaded design moves (forgetting that 40% or more still use 1024x768 or less) we have launched a new site with fresh images from the Spring Semester.

If you get a chance head on over to www.fjgaylor.com and let us know what you think.

I like the photo viewer but why the pop-up? Can you just have the photo viewer be the first thing you see when you load www.fjgaylor.com?

You can have the FJ Gaylord Photography image (http://www.fjgaylor.com/collage-3.jpg) be present as the background of the photo viewer when no photo is being displayed.

Ryan thanks for the comment, I agree with the pop-up, I wish it were just one page and the viewer set in the middle.. Is there a quick fix for that? I'll take anything. Web coder, I am not.. Thanks so much

Is the front page supposed to be blank? At first I thought it was an IE6 error, but it looks the same on FF. I guess I'm used to seeing all the images hit me.

Has any mentioned load times? I'm getting serious lag (which may be on my end) when I select a new 20 with the left-right arrows.

I agree with ryan about a background for the photo viewer.

I like the pictures within a picture.

@jamieHS The first page is a dull gray, still trying to figure that out, not wild about it...

Load times have not been a factor at all, less than 3-4 seconds for entire page to load, must be a Marian Thing ;), I hope anyways....

How 'bout the images though?

I really like the compilations (especially UF and OKST) that you put together. Those look great and add to the site a lot! Much better than just photo after photo after photo. On the first page, once you scroll off the photos it shows your name and phone number. But on the pages after that, it's just a gray screen. Is there anyway to add a play option so that you don't necessarily have to scroll through all the photos? Other than that, I dig! And I just saw the shot of the kid with the squirrel on the tree...I'm glad you included that one!
