Admissions Photography in The Summer

Good morning everyone, hope you had a great weekend. We were in beautiful western New York last week at St. Bonaventure University.. We were hired to do an admissions shoot during July! Not the easiest task ever, considering there were very few students on campus.. The only students on campus were the Orientation Leaders and the Basketball team.. We typically like to work while students are in session to really get the natural feel to what happens on campus.. This was a difficult shoot to make happen, but we were really able to pull it off and get the true sense of campus life, even without the luxury of having the real student body on campus... To make this shoot effective we decided to give the students a sense of "ownership" in the project. We accomplished this by letting THEM decide what THEY think prospective students would like to see portrayed in a viewbook.. So if anyone is thinking of doing a shoot in the next few weeks during an orientation session, feel free to give us a call and we can discuss how to effectively pull this off..
